Wedding Photography
You as a bride will not take much away from your wedding day. The dress might go into a box; your flowers dried, framed and hung on the wall and maybe your cake topper frozen for a year. Left over beverages and foods are soon gone; envelopes and gift-wrappings have found their way into storage boxes; and duplicate wedding gifts have been returned or exchanged.
Wedding Photo Details
The lone item that will recall memories of your day to the minute is photography and we at Lighthouse Photography will not take this inferred responsibility lightly. We will attempt to photograph all details such as flower arrangements, place-settings, programs, invitations, etc. All of those items that you spent a lot of your time choosing or designing. While there may be a few family members and close friends in attendance with cameras, it is not likely that those cameras will be used on these details, let alone any high quality images of your day. We find also that these images make excellent background and ‘flavor’ images in the future design of your wedding album.
Your Wedding Photographer
With few exceptions, most of your wedding day will find us with both cameras clicking, capturing as many mini-events as we can and with professional equipment. Upon arrival, we will locate you, the bride, and make ourselves available to you while stealing candid shots in the bride’s room. At the same moment, our other photographer might see what the guys are doing to kill time, getting dressed, pinning of boutonnieres, etc.
For the most part, our efforts will be unobtrusive and candid, except for when we are called upon to get the ‘must-haves’, usually at the altar location. At a convenient time during the reception, we might steal you away for some special photographs of the two of you in a garden setting or whatever.
We have been researching our contacts with photolabs to find faster returns on quality prints and proof uploads. We realize that friends and family members will be anxious to view those images, so it will be in our best interest to get those images up asap. For us, it will also promote a better chance for sales. It is our goal to have images from a wedding uploaded to our online viewing site within just a few days, if not even overnight. Your proofs will be posted online for a period of 90 days. Following this period, a DVD of hi-res images will be mailed to you upon request. Please also request a copyright release letter for the printing of these images.
Wedding Photography Gallery - Wedding Album
Our wedding album** is described as a 20-page ‘flush-mount’ fine art album with pages designed as panoramic spreads (over two pages). Your selection of images will be sent to our team of designers. We will receive a ‘first draft’ of their design in about a week, and pass this on to you in the form of a pdf file slide-show. You can make any revisions to the design, we will email these back to the designers and repeat the proofing process. Once we have the final design that meets with your approval, a high-res version will be sent to the lab for printing, then those prints shipped to the bindery. The current preferred size is 10x14 with two-page spreads being 14x20. 40 to 50 images will work well with the 20-page layout. A convenient ‘clone’ parent album is 7x10 (closed) or two 5x7s for just slightly more. The album is available in various colors with either gold or silver imprinting. Please send email request or call to see sample page designs, pricing and other details.
